Following their attendance at the February 11th Conference for the Schools Engagement Programme sponsored by the Dept for Children, Schools and Families and hosted by Connexions Essex, the senior partners of Positively MAD Essex & Suffolk, Amanda Dowsett and Kevin Jefferson, are hopeful their presentation to the schools in attendance at this regional event from Basildon, Billericay and Wickford and a number of corporate sponsors who were present, will open the door for greater exposure for Pos-MAD in Essex.
Whilst the presentation "show-cased" all the courses run by Pos-MAD, there was a clear focus on Goal Mapping, a tried and tested workshop format where students are encouraged to Dream, Prioritise, Articulate and Draw their dreams so enabling them to keep them in view at all times.
Our Goal Mapping programme also aims to relieve students of previously held limiting beliefs that prevent anyone from looking ahead since all their previous experiences may have been negative and which will hold them back from ever achieving a step change in their lives.
It was apparent there was a high level of interest from both the schools and Alternate Education Providers who attended, fuelling optimism for the growth mentioned above.
